Romano’s were delighted to provide a full catering service for 20 people at a client’s special family gathering in their lovely Cambridgeshire home. The menu was developed with the client’s tastes and requirements in mind as it needed to include vegetarian and dairy-free options.
We created four delicious canapés: Asparagus wrapped in Parma Ham, Baby Italian Meatballs with a Marinara Dip, King Prawn & Chorizo on a stick with Gremolata Dip and Smoked Salmon & Gruyère Tartlet.
Our famous Lasagna alla Romano was the main course, along with our Aubergine Parmigiana (vegetarian) and Italian Bean & Sausage Hotpot (dairy-free). All served with a Mixed Green Salad with an Italian Vinaigrette Dressing and a selection of breads.
Three different desserts graced the table: Blueberry & Pandoro Zuppa Inglese, a dairy-free Torta Caprese and Tarte au Citron with Fresh Rasperries & Raspberry Coulis.
A cheese board with a variety of Italian cheeses rounded out the meal, complemented by Paola's homemade green tomato chutney, figs, walnuts, grapes and crackers.
Guests of all ages feasted on our 4-course menu. The hosts didn’t have to worry about a thing as we took care of it all: from the food to service, to the clearing away and tidying up at the end of the day!
